The Abundance Mindset: More is More

Global Citizen, in partnership with producing partner Harness, developed the nationwide television and digital broadcast special “Every Vote Counts—A Celebration of Democracy,” which aired on CBS and on a range of streaming platforms on October 29, 2020. The special was co-produced with Alicia Keys, America Ferrera, Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Piers Williams, Live Nation, AK Worldwide, Harness, and Sunshine Sachs. Every Vote Counts featured inspiring speakers, musical performances, spoken word, comedy, interviews, and practical and inspiring reasons to vote.

The special meaningfully integrated civic and social justice leaders, including those from BIPOC communities, to amplify the calls to action and to reinforce the narrative that diverse communities are what makes our nation strong. The one-hour prime-time special aimed to celebrate American democracy, remind voters of our unique civic privilege, arm voters with concrete information on how to vote, allay concerns they may have about voting amid a pandemic, and above all, put the joy back into voting.
