In April 2024, Joy Pittman joined the Pop Culture Collaborative as Director of People and Culture, where she leads efforts to strengthen organizational culture, enhance employee engagement, and align HR strategies with the Collaborative’s mission. With over 20 years of experience in organizational development and human resources, Joy creates systems that promote growth, inclusivity, and operational excellence.

In addition to her role at Pop Collab, Joy founded HR For The Culture, which supports Black small businesses, and When Faith Meets Strategy, a consulting initiative that trains and equips churches to scale and serve sustainably. Prior to joining Pop Collab, she held leadership roles, including Interim CHRO at YWCA USA and Director of Talent & Culture at Her Justice. Joy also served as an HR Business Partner at Moody’s Corp and VillageCare.

A certified Senior HR Professional (SPHR, SHRM-SCP), Joy holds a Master’s in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor’s in Economics. Outside of work, she enjoys music, good coffee, and cuddle time with her fur-baby, Day-Z Rose.
