In a time of increasing instability and discord, the power of artists to ask questions and relentlessly pursue truth is more important than ever. To build the future, we must be able to truly understand the past, and now is the time to come together and explore both unflinchingly.

– Rhiannon Giddens

To truly know yourself, you must know your history.

Truth seeking is the journey of reclaiming our history, stories, and contributions as part of laying the foundation for the future of truly becoming Americaa nation that is intentionally inclusive, diverse, just, and affirming.

The S.T.E.W.A.R.D.S of History initiative aims to make our relationships with the truth personal and digestible by partnering with authentically-connected and influential artists who believe in the power of embracing, discovering, centering, and understanding our history.

Our Work

Shed light on the transformative power of history to shape our individual and shared identities.

Use entertainment and pop culture to elevate the truth about American history and protect access to honest history.

Join Us

The Pop Culture Collaborative is working to establish a council of artists and entertainers interested in supporting parents, teachers, and students on the frontlines of the fight for access to honest history. These S.T.E.W.A.R.D.S of History are Seekers of Truth Engaging With Art Reclaiming Diverse Storytelling. The S.T.E.W.A.R.D.S initiative will work to educate and activate artists, journalists, athletes, and influencers (among others) to become more vocal about the negative impacts of attacks on history in K-12 education and the power of experiencing our shared history through pop culture as a means to fortify our identities and strengthen a just, pluralist society.

S.T.E.W.A.R.D.S In Action

The goal is to highlight how we can all become S.T.E.W.A.R.D.S of History and examine our own stories and personal connections with the truth to begin the process of repair, protecting ourselves, and honoring past and future generations. We believe that to truly know yourself, you must know your history. To learn more please contact admin@popcollab.org.
