The Abundance Mindset: More is More

Comedy, when developed properly, can aid and accelerate social justice. Using the Comedy Think Tank model developed and activated in partnership with groups such as Color Of Change, IllumiNative, Define American, Caring Across Generations, and other social justice groups, the Center for Media & Social Impact’s (CMSI) Executive Director Caty Borum Chattoo, and Bethany Hall, Creative Director, CMSI Comedy Initiatives, developed and launched the “Radical Kindness Writers Room” in October 2020. Over two weeks, a curated group of comedians and social justice leaders ideated and refined 400 concepts—all with the goal of spreading joy and creating human connection, one laugh at a time. Comedy writers include Fawzia Mirza, J. D. Amato, Kenice Mobley, Keith Haskel, Moujan Zolfaghari, Jeff Hiller, Sebastian Conelli, and Clark Jones.
